With May nearly over, we wanted to highlight a number of events happening in June that either Child Dynamix or some of our friends at partner organisations are hosting. Keeping the children entertained can be costly, so we wanted to share some events with you that are either low or no cost.
Preston Road Nursery 25th Birthday Party
For families with children at our Preston Road Nursery, we are hosting a Garden Party (which may be an indoor party, dependent on the weather!) on Saturday 6th June, to celebrate the nursery turning 25 years old. At this free event expect games, activities, and party bags!

Child Dynamix Clothing Swap
On Friday 19th June, we’ll be running an event where you can get yourself or your family a whole new wardrobe!
Here’s how it works! Before the event on the 19th June, drop off a bag of any unwanted clothing items in the donation bin at Child Dynamix Preston Road. For every bag of clean undamaged clothing you donate, take 5 tokens. Come back for the event on the 19th June, where every token can be swapped for any pre-loved item we have on display. Run out of tokens? No worries, every item is £1 each, so bring some cash! We’ll also have nursery uniform for sale, and you can try on before you buy.

Hull4Heroes Soapbox Derby
Our friends over at Hull4Heroes are hosting their annual Soapbox Derby. Come along to see teams take to the streets to race their creations under the Humber Bridge. With stalls, food, and entertainment alongside the main event, this is a great day out for the whole family! Find out more on their website.

Dads Event
Hull City Council and Home-Start Hull are hosting a Dads Event on Saturday 27th June. This free event, held at The Deep’s Education Centre, has a whole host of activities to get involved with, and is a great way to meet other local families!
