Fundraising Policies
General
- When fundraising you should specify that you are raising money “in aid of” Child Dynamix, but you are not an employee, brand ambassador, or in any way working for, or officially affiliated with, Child Dynamix. You may not make any statements on behalf of Child Dynamix.
- Should your fundraiser be deemed as harming Child Dynamix’s brand we reserve the right to ask you to immediately stop fundraising and close your campaign down. We have the right to remove any references to your fundraiser from our website, social media platforms, or any other place it may have been referenced, and require you to do the same.
- You agree to comply with any directions or guidance given by Child Dynamix when organising your fundraiser. However, all organisation and running of your event shall be your responsibility.
Finances
- All funds raised on behalf of Child Dynamix must be transferred to us within 30 days of the conclusion of the fundraising activity.
- You agree to keep accurate records of all fundraising proceeds and provide documentation upon request.
- Donations must not be used to cover personal expenses or retained for personal use, unless this has been explicitly agreed with Child Dynamix beforehand.
Liability & Legal
- Any advice or support offered by Child Dynamix is setting up your fundraiser should be deemed as advice only, and is not a substitute for legal counsel. This includes our ‘Fundraising Checklist’ which is meant as advice and guidance only, and is not a comprehensive guide. It is your responsibility to seek advice from your local authority or legal experts, where necessary.
- You agree to abide by all laws and regulations whilst fundraising. Any licences required, such as that for selling alcohol, holding a raffle, or playing music, are the responsibility of you, the fundraiser, and not Child Dynamix.
- Laws and regulations you must abide by include, but are not limited to, the Charities Act 2011 (or Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, as applicable), the Gambling Act 2005 (if organising raffles/lotteries), and the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice.
- Child Dynamix is not liable for any risks involved in your fundraiser. We are also not liable for any accident, injury, loss or illness that occurs during the course of your fundraiser. We require everyone organising or running a fundraising activity to take all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.
- Fundraisers must act with integrity and transparency, and treat all donors and participants with respect.
- If your fundraising involves children or vulnerable adults, you must ensure appropriate safeguarding measures are in place, including DBS checks if required.
- Child Dynamix’s insurance policies will not cover your fundraiser.
Media Policy
- Should you send any images or videos of your fundraiser to Child Dynamix, you give us permission to use this image in any marketing materials. This may include, but is not limited to, usage on social media, our website, or printed materials.
- You will not be entitled to any financial compensation or royalty will be given in exchange for usage of any images or videos.
- Any media you send we have the right to edit, change or copy as we deem necessary.
- Whilst we may promote certain fundraisers or fundraising events on our social media or other platforms, we are under no obligation to do this. Promotion of your fundraiser does not constitute endorsement.
- Where images or videos of people other than yourself or those explicitly involved in the fundraiser have been sent to us, you agree that you have received consent from the individuals featured for the media to be used in the way as described in this policy. Where anyone under the age of 18 has been featured, you agree that you have gained parental consent for their images to be used as described.
