Fundraising Checklist
Before you embark on your fundraising journey, make sure you have looked through the checklist below. Whilst not all points below may be required for your event, read everything carefully and consider each point to see if it might apply. Remember, if you need any help with anything below, please get in touch and we can give you advice and provide resources!
The Details
- Have you decided what your fundraiser is going to be?
- Have you set a fundraising goal?
- Who else is involved? Do they know all the details?
- Have you told Child Dynamix about your fundraiser?
- Have you set up a way to collect donations? (We use JustGiving)

Publicising Your Fundraiser
- How are you going to share details about your fundraiser with others?
- Have you spread the word on social media?
- Have you looked at Child Dynamix's Fundraising Resources to help you create posters, leaflets, and other materials for your fundraiser?
- Who is responsible for taking photos and videos of the fundraiser?
Running an Event
- Have you set a date and time for your event?
- Who else will help you run the event? What are their roles?
- Where are you going to hold the event?
- How many people do you expect to attend? How will they be invited?
- Do you need any equipment?
- Have you thought about accessibility requirements?
- Will food be served? Is there a selection for all dietary needs? How will allergens be dealt with?
The Important Stuff
- Have you read Child Dynamix's Fundraising Policies?
- Do you need any licences (eg for serving alcohol, holding a raffle or playing music)?
- Do you need a risk assessment?
- Is a first aider required?
- Is public liability insurance needed?
