Youth and Community Worker (12 Hours)

Youth and Community Worker

  • 12 hours per week
  • Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings
  • £12.27 – £14.27 per hour (depending on experience)

This position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, create safe and supportive spaces, and empower young people to reach their potential

Requirements and responsibilities for this post:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver a range of sessions and activities to support the informal learning, development and interests of young people aged between 10 and 19 years old.
  • To support and encourage the voice and influence of young people in local and city wide projects
  • Ensuring that all data is collated appropriately and timely, allowing for effective monitoring to take place.
  • To be a team player, flexible, approachable and able to work under pressure.
  • Hold a minimum Level 2 Qualification in Youth Work or related discipline

Nursery Cook (25 - 30 hours)

Nursery Cook

  • 25 – 30 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
  • £12.31 – £13.01 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Based at our Child Dynamix Community Nursery Rainbow on Salisbury Street

The post holder will be responsible for organising and controlling the efficient and economic production of quality meals and snacks, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, in line with Environmental Health Office regulations.

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • A minimum Level 2 in Food Handling, Nutrition, or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a kitchen environment and planning menus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to use their own initiative
