Youth and Community Worker

Youth and Community Worker

  • 20 hours per week, including evening and occasional weekend 
  • £12.27 – £12.77  per hour (depending on experience)
  • Based at The Hut Youth Centre, Preston Road, Hull, HU9 5UY

Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact in your community? Child Dynamix is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth and Community Worker to join the team.

This is a part-time role (20 hours per week) based at our Youth facility, The Hut on Preston Road with flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekend, supporting and delivering engaging activities and meaningful support for children, young people, and families in our community.

Requirements and responsibilities for this post:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver a range of sessions and activities to support the informal learning, development and interests of young people aged between 10 and 19 years old.
  • To support and encourage the voice and influence of young people in local and city wide projects
  • Ensuring that all data is collated appropriately and timely, allowing for effective monitoring to take place.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the youth facility
  • To be a team player, flexible, approachable and able to work under pressure.

  • To work in partnership with a range of community, voluntary, statutory and private organisations
  • To work with and lead a team in the delivery of quality youth and community provision
  • To provide line-management to staff, volunteers and students on placement
  • Plan, prepare and deliver a range of sessions and activities to engage and support young people aged between 10 and 19 years old.
  • To support and encourage the voice and influence of young people in local and city wide projects
  • Ensuring that all data is collated appropriately and timely, allowing for monitoring to take place.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and management of the youth facility
  • To be a team player, flexible, approachable and able to work under pressure.

PR & Marketing Manager

  • 30 hours per week, initially for 1 year subject to funding

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join our team at Child Dynamix. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual, who is passionate and enthusiastic to raise awareness of the Charity’s services. You will lead campaigns, manage social media relations, oversee digital content and support fundraising efforts with compelling communications.

30 hours per week, working flexibly to meet the needs of the charity including occasional evening and weekends

Main requirements and responsibilities for this post:

  • Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance the charity’s visibility
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns, including fundraising and awareness drives
  • Create and manage promotional content across digital and print platforms
  • Manage social media accounts
  • Lead on events, internally and externally

Qualifications and experience:

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in marketing, media writing, journalism or a related communications field.
  • Minimum of 1 years work experience in a similar role

Based at our youth facility site on Preston Road but working across community venues in East Hull. We are looking for people to join our supply staff bank, who are experienced, passionate and enthusiastic about working with children and young people (aged 10-19).  

 £12.27-£12.71 per hour depending upon experience

Various hours are available throughout the week – evenings and holiday periods. As and when required.
