Fundraising Ideas

No matter what skills, interests or passions you have, there are many ways to help fundraise for Child Dynamix. We have put together some popular ideas on how you can to support our cause below – whether you wish to raise money alone, with others, or at work. Whilst this should provide great inspiration for your fundraiser, these are just some ideas – feel free to come up with your own unique fundraising event.

Don’t forget, once you have an idea, talk to us and we can help support you in making your fundraising event a success!

Individual Fundraising

  • Get Active – Challenge yourself to walk/run/cycle/swim a set number of miles in a month, or walk the equivalent distance on the treadmill if you prefer staying indoors! If you are an avid runner or want a bigger challenge, you could sign up to the Hull 10k or Hull Half Marathon.
  • Create Something – Whether you’re good at knitting, painting, pottery, drawing, or any other artistic pursuit, you can get involved! Sell your creations in exchange for a donation to Child Dynamix, and support the charity whilst showing off your creative skill.
  • Quit Something – Everyone can develop bad habits over time, so support our charity whilst improving your lifestyle. Whether it’s coffee, chocolate or beer, challenge yourself to avoid something for a whole month. Who knows, maybe you’ll want to kick the habit forever…?
  • Jumble Sale – Have a clear out by sorting through your unwanted clothes, toys, books and board games. Instead of throwing it away hold a jumble sale. A great way to get rid of your unwanted goods that may find a new home with someone else.

Fundraising with Others

  • Quiz Night – Get together with your friends and family and hold a quiz, with all entry fees being donated to Child Dynamix.
  • Coffee Morning – Meet up with friends and family to have brunch where you can sell tea, coffee and other refreshments, along with cakes and sweet treats. Bake your own cakes for that extra special touch!
  • Dog Waking – Talk to people in your local community and for a small donation take their dogs for a walk. A great way to raise money, meet people in your community, and get some fresh air!
  • Litter Picking – Get sponsored to clean up the litter in your local community, doing a good deed for charity and for the community.

Fundraising at Work

  • Dress Up – Organise a ‘dress–up day’ at work. Whether it’s a funky shirt day, a pyjama day or fancy dress day, everyone can bring some money and have a laugh in the office.
  • Cake Sale – Buy, or better, bake, some cakes and sweet treats to sell around the office. Be the most popular person in the break room!
  • Raffle/Tombola – Buy or request donations for prizes and have a team raffle or tombola. This can even be combined with existing staff events such as team meetings or dinners.
