Are you female, aged between 14 and 25 and interested in getting active?

Helping women build a sporting habit for life. This is our Sport England project which has been running since 2014. The aim is to support around 720 Women and girls aged between 14 and 25 into getting active and taking up sports.

The Hull Activators project works with young women from the age of 14 to 25 as well as encouraging women of all ages to get them into sports and active recreation.  The Project began in July 2014 and will end in June 2017 the team is led by Tony Baker and 3 Sports Activators Ben Denholm, Suzella Buhlman and Phil Pocknee.

The team works across three wards in Hull, Marfleet, Southcoates East and Myton wards. The Activators build relationships with the participants and enable them to develop habits and interests around sports, identifying natural leaders from the group and recruiting them as volunteers to help lead and develop the sessions now and in the future. The Activators make links with structured sporting groups in the City ensuring that new interests and habits can be maintained in the future.
