This year we are more excited than ever to be part of the Hull 10K Run for all, it will take place in Hull City Centre on Sunday 18th June. The City Centre is looking fantastic with all the public realm works and adding to this its City of Culture year it feels extra special.

We are so excited with the support we have this year we have a team of 42 runners along with runners from Rollits Solicitors Corporate team raising funds for us. The funds raised will make such a difference to the work we can do locally.

Jane Stafford, CEO

We are now on the 5-week countdown and have shared training tips with all of our runners, we have got our team T-shirts and are raring to go. On the day you can find us in the Charity Village we will have a team there to tell you about the work we do and to hopefully raise some extra funds, with fun games and activities!

Voice of the Volunteers

We asked the people that have volunteered for the event both the runners and marshals how they feel about the upcoming Hull 10k.

Runners comments:

I last did a 10k in 1997 (the Lincoln one with work colleagues). So on the 20th anniversary of my last run, I thought I'd try and assemble another group of 'willing volunteers' from the office to raise some cash for a great cause. I think it's safe to say that in another 20 years from now I won't be doing another one!!

Ken

I'm really excited to take part in the race this year, with Hull being the City of Culture I'm sure there will be a great atmosphere and buzz around the event. My training is currently on plan and I'm pleased with where I am at 12 weeks out from the race. I'm also excited to be running on behalf of the charity, having grown up fortunate enough to be able to make the most of the activities, I believe has largely set me up for success and I hope that by supporting a charity like this, more young people can benefit from a well-rounded and safe upbringing.

Peter

Taking part in events like the Hull 10k is a great fun and gives me a goal to train for, but to do it for Child Dynamix who do such a great job for young people in Hull makes it a really rewarding experience.

Rory

I’m feeling nervous as I haven’t done this before, I’ve received my welcome pack from the charity which I have found really useful. I have started my training which includes some jogging and Clubbercise sessions.

 Niki

I’m really looking forward to running this year and hoping to beat my personal best.

Sophie

I am really excited about the race. Last year the atmosphere at the start line was electric and running in the race was a challenge but really rewarding.

Liz

Volunteer marshal comments:

I was a marshal last year and I’m really looking forward to being one again this year supporting Team Child Dynamix! There’s a fantastic atmosphere in the city centre on the day and Run for All make sure we have everything we needed to support the runners.

Lisa

I’m excited and happy to be a volunteer marshal in the 10K, it is my way of being involved in the event which I am not able to run in this year.
